Life for Eternity

For the past 10 years my Grandma Ruth has lived with us, she had dementia and had gotten to the point where she could really do anything herself besides eat.. Sometimes. We knew that she would soon go but we had also been thinking this for the past 10 years! So Monday November 21st, when she fed herself breakfast and lunch, it came as a shock when my dad went in to get her for dinner and the sweet lady had past away in her sleep. She is now in the loving arms of her wonderful husband who has been waiting faithfully for her. My grandma had dementia for a long time. She got it before I was born so I never really knew her for real. We had many memories with grandma.

She was so sweet, funny, (mean sometimes when you tried to take her candy), and a big part of all our lives. When I was little when we would go play at her house we would go outside and ride bikes and the bottoms of our pants would get dirty and she would chase me with a broom trying to brush it off, so I'd ride away as fast as I could! But this sweet lady never lacked at telling us she loved us.. I would frequently paint her nails and she would LOVE it and tell me over and over how much she loved me. She even told me I was her favorite granddaughter one time. :) I cant wait to see my sweet grandma again!

Im so grateful for the knowledge of the gospel that I have! I know that my family and all others can be together forever and eternity! There is no other group of people I would want to be with then the people I love more than anything in this world! I have a hard time being in Rexburg and not seeing my family for days at a time let alone forever. I dont know what I would do with out the gospel/ The Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints is True! I know it! and I love it!

Colonial 311

This is my 3rd semester at BYU-Idaho and I have yet again been lucky enough to be stuck with 5 AMAZING roommates. We get along so well and though we find little flaws in each other we are able to look beyond it most of the time and have so much fun together! We haven't even known each other for 3 months and I feel like we've been friends forever! 

First and BEST is my BFF Cousin and Room roommate Laura. When we decided to room together this semester I was completely unaware of just how much our personalities would click! We have not gotten in a single fight or disagreement about anything and we laugh EVERY second of the day. We have so many inside jokes already and are never seen apart from each other except walking to and from class. We always complete each others sentences and get each others jokes when no one else does. I think the other roommates think we are super weird sometimes.. cuz we are. But we have had so much fun together and I love her so much! 

We went and fed ducks one time and they were sooo scary! They were seriously going to eat us but it has been so fun having La here this semester and I will be so sad without her this Spring!

Next is Cassi Ructhi. We first hit it off when she tried out for the softball team and when there wasn't enough girls, asked me to join her team. WE had a lot of fun but after the first game she really hurt her arm and couldnt play anymore! But she is the sweetest girl Ive ever met! I love her to death and I cant wait to continue to have more fun times with her!

Next is Carissa Hatch. She can be super quiet but when you get her talking she is so funny. I remember the first time we ever got her to do something that some people might think of as embarrassing but I think it made us grow stronger as friends. We were walking to Wal Mart and me and Laura were laughing funny and we made Carissa do it after some convincing. It was so fun, we laughed that way all the way to Wal Mart! I love her so much and her cute personality.

Next is Sarah DeMille. She is so funny. Form the first night me and Laura heard her kissing her boyfriend out our window and embarrassed her like crazy we have had so much fun. She is always laughing and makes me laugh all the time. She is a little on the crazy side sometimes but its a good thing. Even though she doesn't admit to being the one who has 14 cups on the counter, I still love her. :)

And Last but certainly not least is Kaitlin Marie Carter. This girl is one of a kind!  She makes me laugh with everything  she does and says. She is so innocent and cute. She is the oldest of us all but I feel like shes a little sister. She is super boy crazy and always has a story to tell. I love her.

I love Apartment #311!

I am so Blessed!

I always felt like I wanted to start a blog, just for fun, but I'm not much of a writer so I always decided against it. Then yesterday I decided that my life is amazing! Not saying that I don't go through hard times, its not Perfect, but Just amazing! I am so blessed and I wish Everyone knew all the great things that happen to me every single day. Sometimes I forget so maybe it'll help me remember as well.

I am 19 years old and my Heavenly Father has given me everything I have ever asked for. I have always felt like I was protected against a lot of different trials. I've never been offered alcohol or drugs where some people are asked every week or even day. I have never even felt the want to go to parties, or get myself in situations where there might me some kind of temptation like that. 

When I look back at my life I remember things that happened and I had a really hard time with it but EVERY single time it ended up being for my own good and made my life even better. For example, when I was a Freshman in high school, I honestly didn't feel like I had any "best" friends, I talked to people but I never went and "hung out" or was invited to any parties or anything. During that year I read.. a lot. and I learned good study habits and loved school. I started getting good grades and became pretty smart, especially in Math and Science. I'm so glad I had that chance or I may have never gotten the love of learning like I have now. I have had my heart broken quite a few times but have learned to forgive people VERY easily. Some might say that could be bad because sometimes I set myself up to be hurt again but I believe with all my heart that those times make me stronger and I have no power over what the other person chooses to do, but my choice is to forgive. 

I have also been blessed with amazing examples in my life. First of all my parents.

I have always been quite the "momma's girl" and have never wanted to do anything that might make her disappointed or angry with me in any way. She is the most amazing, patient, kind, woman I've ever known. She is always trying to help every one else and rarely makes time for herself. She has taught me everything I know and is so strong in the gospel and is my very best friend. 

My dad has gone through so much! I can't even explain how much I look up to him! He never complains and is always the one to keep us knowing that everything will work out in the end. He can always make me laugh even when I am not in the mood. He is sarcastic 99% of the time and has taught me to have a good sense of humor. He is my hero and I love him more than anything! 

My brothers are crazy! They have taught me to have unconditional love and I am so glad that through the sealing power of the temple they are forever part of my family!

My sister Lacie is so talented and beautiful! She has gone through so much and she is so strong and that has helped me to always strive to be my absolute best. I can always talk to her about anything and we always have fun when we're together.

Lexie is so amazing! She deserves so much in life and I pray every night that she gets it! One of the greatest impacts on my life was when she served as a missionary of Jesus Christ in Argentina. That was such an amazing example to me and brought me so much closer to my faith and helped me in gaining the testimony that I have today. I'm so grateful to her, she has helped me through a lot!

Hayley is the best! I am so lucky to have her as a sister. She is so strong in the gospel and is such a great example to me. She pushes me to be a better person and to stand up for myself. I have learned so much from her! She is so funny and optimistic about everything! She is always there for me and I know she'd beat up anyone that ever did anything wrong to me. 

My sweet little sister is the best friend I've ever had. She is so beautiful and talented! She has so much faith in what I am and loves me so much! She helps me to become a better person because I want to be perfect for her. We have so much fun together and she helps me be outgoing and funny. She never gets embarrassed and loves everyone! Shes my best friend!

Next is the sweetest girl ever, Reece Runyan. She is my biggest fan and I love every second with her! Shes my best friend and shes 5 years old. Through babysitting her for the past 3 years I have learned that life is so much easier without drama! Its okay if Im not perfect all the time cuz even if its just her someone will always love me! Shes taught me to enjoy the simple things, laugh all the time, be silly, and always be happy!

Every day I am more and more assured that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the only true church! And I am a Member! I feel so blessed to have been brought up in the gospel and have had parents with such strong testimonies. As I have grown my own faith I have grown closer to my Heavenly Father. He is my best friend and I know that he listens to me and will always be there for me and is looking after me and my future! I am excited for what is to come and I am loving every day of this life he has given me!
